Dry Stone Archway

This arch was built with no mortar and no heavy equipment. All the stone was found on site, roughly 12 tons of granite. Construction began four feet below ground, with a compacted base of rip rap and crushed stone. This clip captures the moment the form is knocked out and the structure stands on its own.
