The Birders Director's Story: A Documentary Produced by our Colombian Film Production Company

The Birders, directed by WhereNext founder Gregg Bleakney and produced, edited and distributed by WhereNext (A Colombian Production Company), is a documentary film series about Colombian bird diversity and birdwatching.

The Colombian Ministry of Tourism (ProColombia) and and Sancho BBDO selected our agency to produce this campaign through a tender process. In winning this bid, a mixed private and public sector selection committee unanimously awarded the contract to WhereNext over every major production and creative studio, both national and international, with offices in Colombia.

With over 1 million views and a record breaking 30 + million social media likes and shares, the films have changed the perception of Colombia through showcasing the diversity of birds who live there and established the country as the number one birding destination on the planet.

The Birders also incorporates an original score from local musicians inspired by the bird songs found in the film.
