There are a lot of different aspects that would cause a person to decide to lease a vehicle versus buying and it can be summarized into two questions:
-Do you want to pay more for convenience
-Are you a car person that knows their way around a vehicle

From a purely numbers perspective, it is almost always cheaper to buy a vehicle than it is to lease it, and the same could be said when it comes to monthly payments. If you want lower monthly payments, that will usually be possible with leasing a vehicle.

Now as far as the pros of leasing vs financing a car, the main pro is that if you are the type of person that enjoys driving a new car every 3 years, then to lease would be best. Another case would be if you cannot save on repairs and maintenance costs. If you can change your own oil and do minor repairs, then buying a car would be a better option.

Another KEY aspect on leasing vs financing a car is what you think you could sell a used car for. If you cannot take good care of your vehicle and don't think you'll be able to get much money when you sell it, then it actually may make more financial sense to lease the vehicle.
