Is North Korea changing? Its relations with the rest of the world appear to be thawing after last year’s ‘rocket man’ nuclear missile crisis but does this mean anything is actually changing inside this hermit kingdom? Unreported World joined a business trip aimed at attracting foreign investment just as the country prepared to celebrate its 70th anniversary. Included in Marcel Theroux’s tour is a visit to what North Korea has described as its ‘Benidorm’, the Wonson beach resort, and the country’s only ski resort. But his highlight is a seat at the first Mass Games, the largest choreographed gymnastics event in the world in the world’s biggest stadium, taking place for the first time in five years. The theme of the Games is peace but did he believe the country is really opening up?

Other defectors-cum-activists are funnelling information in and out across the border in an attempt to undermine Kim Jong-un’s grip on power. Seyi Rhodes investigates what is being coined ‘The Information War’. At every turn this film will reflect what's really happening inside the secret state of North Korea.
