Claude Dubois est un chanteur et auteur-compositeur très célèbre au Québec... sa carrière s'étale sur quatre décennies. Il a écrit certaines des chansons les plus connues du Québec, qui sont devenues des classiques, en plus d'avoir été la voix originale qui a interprété "Le Blues du Businessman" de l'opéra-rock "Starmania".

Dubois a été inspiré à composer cette chanson suivant la mort de Federico Fellini de qui il avait toujours été un grand admirateur.

Les paroles décrivent les sensations d'une âme qui quitte son corps en se demandant si Dieu existe.

Claude Dubois is a famous singer/songwriter from Québec - his career spans four decades. Some of his best-known songs have become classics. This is one of them. Perhaps his most popular song was "Businessman Blues" from a rock-opera called "Starmania".

Dubois was inspired to write this song when the great Italian movie director, Frederico Fellini died. Dubois was an avid fan and admirer of Fellini's work. It's as if he (Dubois) is speaking to Fellini and letting him know that God must exist.

The lyrics describe the feelings of a soul who has left its body while questioning at the same time whether or not God exists.

The title means: IF GOD EXISTS

Translations are rarely adequate in conveying the mood/tone/intent of another language. Federico Fellini put it this way"
"A different language is a different vision of life".
