Welcome to the third session of this multiplayer in Euro[a Universalis IV as Byzantium on the Universalis Union server. The second session left Byzantium in the position in the Mediterranean as the Italians went to war with Morocco. The high cost of the war caused the Papal vassal to seek independence, prompting Byzantium to seek Italian lands at Papal expense.
