Tortoise Acquisition Stock company named announced its intention to acquire start-up electric truck maker Hyliion. The new ticker symbol for the reverse merger will by HYLN. It expects to bring Hyliion public at a $10 share price, and to have a market capitalization of $1.5 billion when it does.
It expects proceeds of a private placement, combined with cash it already has on hand, to give Hyliion $560 million in cash to use " to fully fund the commercialization and mass production of the company's electrified powertrain solutions." The long waited HyperTruck ERX will be the new class 8 powertrains. They have a diesal hybrid solution for existing OEMS. This will compete against Nikola and Tesla in the powertrain sector. Trevor Milton had nothing to say about this announcement will see if Elon Musk has anything to say. Will do a comparision which one is a better buy to invest in.
