In this video, I take a beat started during a vacation I took with my high school buddies and expanded it to create a new song, "Tides of Neon":

I used the MPC Live II on the road, allowing me to quickly capture ideas with the built-in battery and speakers. Back at the home studio, I transferred the idea to the MPC X SE, and produced the beat even further. All of the sounds where from the MPC X SE.
