Thousands demand Palaszczuk be barred from going to Japan

Thousands of Australians are demanding that Annastacia Palaszczuk not be given an exemption to travel to the Tokyo Olympics.

More than 25,000 signatures have signed the petition which was started by stranded Australians and is specifically addressed to the Australian Border Force.

Ms Palaszczuk will be going to Japan to present to the International Olympics Committee to secure the games for Brisbane in 2032.

She has indicated she will undertake the 14 days of hotel quarantine which has angered signatories who say she is stealing precious space from stranded Australians.
