How to make play dough! If you are stuck inside, like we are during this pandemic, the last thing you want as a parent is to be cleaning slime out of your carpet(trust me)! We have come up with an easy, affordable, and fun alternative. It is also safe to eat, not that we recommend it, but it has no harsh chemicals that are used in slime making! We are also working on fractions with our 4th grader, this is a perfect way to use those skills in a practical way! Homemade Play dough recipe:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
3/4 cup warm water
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Combine flour and salt in a bowl
add warm water and stir
add vegetable oil
fold in food color after dough has formed
store in air tight plastic container or bags

*note* we had to add more flour and salt because our dough was too wet, adjust your flour and salt amounts as needed to form a dough
