What it’s like to go to a skin clinic in Korea 🇰🇷 Part 13 of our travel sabbatical adventures in Korea!

Korea is known for all things beauty and makeup 💄 so it’s no surprise that their skincare clinics have a variety of innovative treatments for your skin 💆‍♀️. They’re more affordable than US clinics so of course I had to try it.

I was intrigued by the popular salmon DNA skin treatment, but it involves lots of needles 💉. I looked into some laser treatment for redness on my cheeks, but was told I would need multiple sessions to see the best results. I also wanted a personalized skincare consultation 💬 to discuss other treatment options, but the most popular place was booked out months in advance! So, I settled with something low risk but that would still give me the experience, which was a facial with layers of ampoule, light therapy, and a modeling mask.

I went to Muse, which is one of the factory skincare clinics that has affordable pricing 💰, but a less personalized experience. They offered a free short consultation 💬 but it wasn’t to analyze my skin concerns, but rather to talk about a couple of the treatments and how effective they would be given my timeframe.

Tips: If you don’t know anything about your skin like whether you’re dry or oily or sensitive, then get that analyzed first before thinking about what procedure to get. Also, don’t wear makeup 💄 before you come to the clinic. They’ll ask you to wash your face🧴 before the treatment starts so don’t waste time putting it on.
