Unboxing, Testing, and Reviewing the St. Croix Victory

Christmas came early. Got the new St. Croix Victory rod a day before it was set to release and I just had to go out and fish it. Spent two hours throwing around a soft plastic on a small jig head as well as a medium sized jerkbait. Pulled in four fish total between the lures and I've got to say that this is a nice rod. The performance of the rod is better than the Mojo Bass and perhaps even slightly better than an Avid. Where this rod really shines is its sensitivity. The smallest hits felt like they were monsters. The biggest disappointment is the handle. It just isn't very comfortable to hold. In all, I really like the rod and would buy it again. If they just fixed the handle this would be perfect.
