Traffic Park for Children... Children Traffic Park like Copenhagen in India.

This park will help children learn about road safety and traffic rules. 

The PMC wants to create awareness about traffic rules and regulation in the new generation. 

Inspired by kid-sized traffic park, the target visitors for this park would be urban centimetre  (CM). This means children having a height of 95 cm or below will be considered as prime visitors of this park. 

The facilities at this park will be designed for the children from the age group of 4 to 5 years. 

According to PMC official, “This facility will be really useful for the kids to teach them on traffic rules at a very age. Many children ride a bicycle to school from six years of age, so they need to be made aware of the traffic discipline at a young age.”

The traffic playground was built in Copenhagen in 1974. Recently, PMC’s Road Department officials visited European countries to study road safety and traffic-related issues. After that, the Ministry of Urban and Housing Affairs conducted a workshop on the concept of Urban-95 in Udaipur (Rajasthan)  where PMC officials presented traffic park concept. The civic body is working on the concept and it will take six to seven months time to shape up this concept.
