An Essential Delivery (Short Film) | East Side Stories
A young Asian American woman is laid off from her office job due to COVID-19. Concealing this news from her family, she takes on food delivery gigs to make ends meet before her upcoming rent payment. Her story is like that of many others in America and across the world, trying to find a sense of security in extremely volatile times. She’s faced with new challenges, financial hardships, and fears-- but also discovers unexpected kindness and hope in community.
