Gary Thain bassist with NZ'S "Me and The Others"
it was Jan 1967 at Stuttgart Germany where Paul Drake of AFN Stuttgart recorded us in a night club . That was so long ago but when I hear the group again it still seems like yesterday. Later after we disbanded Gary and Pete formed a new group in Munich with USA guitarist Ed Carter (who later became lead guitar for the BEACHBOYS ).Some 45 years later Feathered apple records released some of our tracks, plus Gary and Pete's new group" New Nadir,"who did some recording in Switzerland about 1968. The double sided album was titled" UNCOVERED" Me and the Others on one side and New Nadir on the other. The album was to be a collectors LP, and was marketed in UK,Japan Europe and other countries. currently still selling on AMAZON. Back in 1966-67 was It was an exciting time to be, and Gig in the UK and Germany and needless to say we had a fantastic time. Gary R.I.P. later went on to join" Uriah Heep" and to this day still has a big following . Let these tracks be part of Gary's and Pete Dawkins (drummer) 's R.I.P. Paul has now resided in the USA for many years, and I am in NZ. Dave Chapman ,lead guitarist.
