✨I’ve been alive for nearly 57 years. I’ve been a 🙋🏻‍♀️mama (and/or worked with public school kiddos) for 35 of those years. It’s okay for us mamas and hard-working ladies to admit, “We are tired,” “We need a minute, or two.”

For yearsssss, I felt guilty when Mr. Patient encouraged me to take a break, whether that was a day away by myself or a bubble bath🫧 without someone knocking ✊🏽on the bathroom door to ask a question they could have asked their competent father. 🙄
.
Well, I’m a slow learner but I eventually get there. Pert near exhaustion of the mental and emotional kind three years ago drove me to the point where I *had* to get away alone for a few days. And, a new habit was born! ✨♥️✨

This year I am taking it a step further by intentionally walking “out of my office” 🚶🏼‍♀️for quite a few days this year. I will not be posting or even scheduling posts. (Bc then I would just be tempted to check to see how those posts “are doing.”)

I’ll be back in 7 days or less, but please🧏🏼‍♀️ HEAR THIS, ladies:
Don’t do what I did 3 yrs ago and hit rock bottom before taking a minute or three away. Figure out what it would take for you to retain mental and emo health and try to make that happen. This will look different for each person. 🫶🏼
