Animal Haven By The Sea

Last November, I started a local live show called Tillamook County Live. It was supposed to be light hearted, but one where I interview locals, any locals, and have them share their story.

I didn't think much of it. My 2nd guest was Dr. Matt with Nehalem Animal Healing and Lee Blackmon with Animal Haven By The Sea.
Lee tragically passed away 2 weeks later.
Lee is survived by his wife Malia who took over Animal Haven, and my dear friend Sherri Burdick commissioned me to do a piece on them to help support a fundraiser that is coming up this Saturday at the Nehalem Bay Winery at 1pm.
It was an extraordinarily difficult project, and I struggled to find my voice. Time was running short, but at the final hour it came.
I had to take an hour long interview, condense it to a few minutes, bring Lee back to life, and do it all with the best spirit I could offer.
I hope I did you justice Lee, and I wish you were here.
