For years, guys treated bathing suits as necessities—one pair, worn to death, replaced only when it practically disintegrated. But that's not how I see it anymore. Today, your swimsuit is part of your style arsenal. It's not just for swimming. You're wearing it to the beach bar, walking around a resort, grabbing lunch, and hanging by the pool. That means your swimwear needs to look good, fit well, and reflect your personal style. Style isn't about impressing other people. It's about showing up feeling confident. A great bathing suit that fits well, flatters your body, and matches your style can make a huge difference. Because when you look good, you feel good—and when you feel good, it shows. I've seen too many guys wearing baggy board shorts from 2007, loud novelty prints, and oversized swimsuits that do absolutely nothing for their physiques. The truth is, looking better in a bathing suit isn't complicated. A few simple rules can completely change the way you look and feel when your shirt comes off.

1. A bathing suit is more than swimwear- I don't think of swim trunks as just functional anymore. They're a fashion piece. Treat them the same way you'd treat your shorts or casual clothes, and own more than one pair.

2. Swim shorts should end above the knee - This is non-negotiable for me. Long, baggy board shorts make your legs look shorter and your calves smaller. Above the knee is where style lives.

3. The better your legs, the shorter your shorts can be - I personally love shorter inseams. For most guys, though, I think a 5-inch inseam is the sweet spot—stylish without feeling too daring.

4. Ditch juvenile patterns - Funny sharks, flamingos, and goofy novelty prints? Fun? Sure. Stylish? Not really. I prefer solid colors or refined patterns that feel timeless and mature.

5. Choose colors that flatter your body type - If you're leaner, lighter colors look fantastic. If you're carrying extra weight, darker colors tend to be more slimming and flattering.

6. Waistbands matter - I generally prefer flat-front swim trunks over elastic waistbands because they look cleaner and more elevated. That said, comfort matters too—just avoid anything overly baggy or sloppy.

7. Own multiple swimsuits - One swimsuit isn't enough anymore. Different trips, different moods, different occasions. Having options is part of having style.

8. Avoid big logos and excessive branding - I don't want a giant logo plastered on my leg. Clean and understated always wins.

9. Your swim trunks should fit like tailored shorts - Length is important, but so is width. Your trunks shouldn't be skin-tight, but they also shouldn't billow around your legs like a parachute. Think tailored, not baggy.

10. Pair your swimsuit with the right shirt (keep it simple) - White works with virtually every swimsuit color and pattern. It's effortless and stylish.

11. Wear proper footwear - The key is making sure your shoes match the relaxed, stylish energy of the rest of your outfit.

12. Take care of your body - This is probably the most important rule of all. You can buy the best swim trunks in the world, but if you're not taking care of yourself, you won't feel your best wearing them. I believe in working out, building some muscle, staying lean, and showing respect for your body. You don't need perfection—you just need to put in the effort. Confidence starts there.
