Tesla Model S/X: Repair broken control stalk

Broke off my blinker stalk in my Tesla Model S. Here is how to replace the entire control stalk unit. This is a early 2014 Tesla Model S. Later models have a changed layout of the control stalks. Make sure you get the right part matching your car.
You need very few tools. T20 Torx, 10mm allen/hex. Be careful working with anything related to the airbags in any car. If they accidentally go off they can do some serious damage to you.
