GRE over IPSEC [Site to Site Secure VPN]

"GRE over IPSec" tunnels provide the flexibility of being able to handle all types of network traffic, with the encryption and authentication security features found in the IPSec suite of protocols.

In this configuration example I use a GREoIPSEC to provide site-to-site VPN transport between two Cisco routers separated by the public internet. "IPSec profiles" and virtual tunnel interfaces are used for easy configuration.

You will also see a demonstration of why a GRE tunnel should not be used without security, and a Wireshark capture of what the end result should look like.
