In this video we compare the Ring Pro 2 vs Ring 4 Video Doorbell. The Ring Pro 2 Doorbell and Ring 4 Doorbell we're updates to the Ring doorbell line up that were both released in the spring of 2021. A major update that was included in both the Ring 4 Doorbell and Ring Pro 2 Doorbell was the inclusion of the Pre-Roll video footage feature which pre-records 6 seconds of video before the motion sensor is tripped so that you can see what's happening before the motion sensor is triggers and have a better view of people approaching the doorbell.

The Ring Pro 2 Doorbell is most feature rich video doorbell in Ring's line up and it comes with the best video resolution and is packed with features like 3D motion detection that make it a high quality premium video doorbell. It has 1536HD video footage and wide angle lense that increases both your vertical and horizontal field of view so that you can see people even if they are very close to your doorbell. The Ring Pro 2 doorbell is a hardwired wifi video doorbell that requires 16-24VAC for power and allows you to view the video footage remotely on your phone or through your computer.

The Ring 4 Doorbell was launched in the spring of 2021 has many similar features to the Ring Pro 2 but can either be 100% battery powered without any wiring or gives you the option of hardwiring it and only requires 8-24V AC so it's compatible even with older doorbell transformers. The Ring 4 Doorbell has 1080 HD video footage and a wide angle horizontal view while the vertical view is somewhat restricted.
