An athlete whose indigenous skills helped make her a marathon star
In the northwestern mountains of Mexico there is an indigenous community renowned for long-distance running. They are called the Raramuris which means “the running feet.”
The Raramuris are used to walking or running dozens of miles in the canyons and mountains of their homeland.
