Recently, there are a number of cases involving explosives. Members of the public should take extra precautions and stay vigilant against the threats of explosives and suspicious objects. Although there is no clear definition for suspicious objects, the following factors can be taken into account:

1. Is the appearance of the object unusual?
2. Is the existence of the object foreign to area?
3. Can the owner of the object be identified?

Besides, security or property management personnel of public or private premises are advised to take appropriate precautionary measures to reduce security risk, such as enhancing access control and perimeter security as well as strengthening response capabilities.
