10 Years Removed from Cancer Diagnosis, Kevin McDowell Achieves his Olympic Dream

Since he was 11-years-old, Kevin McDowell has imagined what it would be like to be a U.S. Olympian.

At 18, a cancer diagnosis looked like it would derail that dream.

Now, 10 years later, he's heading to Tokyo to represent Team USA at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

UPDATE July 26,2021:

Taking 6th-place at the men's Olympic triathlon event in Tokyo, McDowell made history with the highest finish of any American man in Olympic triathlon history.
