In our series on European companies that supply their wares to haute couturiers, we visit the exclusive Swiss textile manufacturing company Jakob Schlaepfer . It provides fabrics for some of the world's top fashion firms. The company's breakthrough was in 1963 when it patented its Paillettenstickerei (sequin production on shuttle embroidery machines).
