Here's our light and intimate version of the famous 'Lamento Della Ninfa, a madrigal from the book 'Madrigali Guerrieri et Amorosi', published in 1638 by the then 71 year old Claudio Monteverdi.

A heart wrenching lament from a nymph as a soprano solo, accompagnied by an unstoppable four note basso continuo.

We had the honor to perform this piece on the Dutch radio station NPO radio 4, on the show De Klassieken, hosted by Ab Nieuwdorp.

With the amazing soprano Sabra el bahri Khatri and guitarist Johan Timmermans from the Zephyra ensemble. Enjoy!
