Recent Advances in the Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis: Are We There Yet?
Dr. Freedman is currently professor of medicine in the field of neurology at the University of Ottawa, as well as director of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus and a senior scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Freedman is also the lead investigator in the Canadian Bone Marrow Transplant Study in MS and co-chair of the International Mesenchymal Stem Cell Transplantation Study Group.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Ontario and Nunavut Division, hosted a one-day conference for people with MS, their caregivers, and the larger MS community on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. Be inspired by keynote speaker, Dr. Mark Freedman, Recent advances in the treatment of multiple sclerosis: Are we there yet?; and Drs. Tania Bruno and Dale Robinson who spoke to pain in MS, focusing on self management strategies and behaviour change.

We coordinate education sessions that touch on many aspects of living with MS such as information for newly diagnosed individuals and their family, coping strategies, symptom management and quality of life issues.
