I heard a great message from Mel Robbins who challenged us to put down the phone/tv etc for 15 minutes a day and work on a project. You will be amazed at how much will get done, even with this very small daily commitment. Today I am finishing up in my kids' bedroom, and I had all three of my kids there to 'help'.
