Bruce Springsteen with one of his first bands, Steel Mill, live at The Matrix in San Francisco on 1/13/1970. Boz Scaggs was the scheduled headliner but he cancelled on short notice due to illness, and Steel Mill played alone.

Music critic Philip Elwood was at this show, planning to review Scaggs. Instead, he wrote a highly favorable review of Steel Mill published in The San Francisco Examiner the next day (see PNG file). Recorded by KSAN FM and broadcast at a later date.
