LEARN BLACKBIRD - Jerry Molyneaux - GRADE EXAM 6

This video is to help MJP dancers and other Irish Dancers learn how to do Jerry Molyneaux's Blackbird. First I teach a little history on the Dance Masters and the difference between Traditional Irish dancing and Irish Step Dancing (Which is what I teach).

Then I show you how to do the lead around slowly on the Right foot, facing away from the camera, followed by the set part of the dance.

Next I show you the whole dance to music so you can learn how it fits. Its not a great run but its the best I could do with how busy things get. :)

The second half of the video breaks down and explains all the difficult tricks or the things you should know when performing this dance such as:
Tips, Boxes, Backward Drums, Slide Heel Click, Heel Drops, and not False Starting.
