Sometimes, when I’m stuck, I just put “Musician” and “Birthday Date” into the search options and - Voila!

Happy Birthday to Belinda Carlisle, lead singer of The Go-Go’s, who was born on this date in 1958. The song is “Our Lips Are Sealed” and is off The Go-Go’s “Beauty and the Beat” album which came out in 1981 and featured Kathy Valentine on the bass. I always thought this was a catchy song with a really cool bass-line. I thought that Kathy got a great, “stringy” sound from her bass.

We have a very busy weekend planned. We saw Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band last night at Bethel Woods. This morning, I got my bi-weekly haircut. This afternoon, we are going to my Nephew’s surprise, 10-Year Sobriety Party. I did not know there was such a thing but we are very happy and honored to be attending it. We are returning to Bethel Woods tomorrow (It’s the 50th Anniversary weekend of the original Woodstock concert/event) to see John Fogerty/Tedeschi-Trucks Band, and Grace and the Nocturns...not really my thing, but...

On our way into the show last night, Lynn tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Troy, someone is calling you.” I had the pleasure of meeting, YouTube subscriber, Mark (Alejandro Sosa) and his girlfriend (both - super-nice) who was able to pick me out of the crowd of 12,000…haha. This seems to be happening more and more frequently and it is always a very humbling and flattering experience when it does.

I’m playing the Ol’ Guild B-301 that’s been fitted with a Zero-Mod Thumb-Rest and a Babicz 3-Point Replacement Bridge.
