A Fall drive up Smuggler Mountain in Aspen, Colorado

This is just a short video of the drive from downtown Aspen, Colorado, to one of the best viewpoints in town, along Smuggler Mountain Road. I didn't go all the way up to the observation deck, but the view from this turnout along the side of Smuggler Mountain Road is still pretty good. The road is rough enough that a high-clearance vehicle is a good idea. You'll also be dodging a lot of pedestrians, because as you will see in the video, this road is a popular hike for the locals in Aspen.

I made this trip in late September 2021, during the peak of fall colors in Colorado.
