The summit heralds the inauguration of the 'Prometheus Initiative', an ambitious program designed to cultivate sustainable renewable energy investment and foster collaboration between China and Africa on renewable energy.
The Nairobi forum concentrated on investor match-making for renewable energy investments, including pitches from projects from Africa.
Kakuma is the next stop, with the organizers saying that the visit will offer invaluable hands-on experience and direct engagement with local communities and ongoing projects.
