High On Cocaine, Prigozhin And Wagner Aides Blew Up Plane With Grenades? Putin's Crash Theory

Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 5 suggested that Wagner mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin's plane crash was caused by grenades. Putin also quoted the unpublished findings of Russia's Investigative Committee to rule out an "external impact" on the private Embraer jet which crashed north of Moscow killing all 10 people on board on August 23. "Fragments of hand grenades were found in the bodies of those killed in the crash," Putin told a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in the Black Sea resort of Sochi. The Russian president said investigators should have carried out a drug and alcohol test on the bodies of the victims, given what he claimed to be the seizure of five kg cocaine from Wagner headquarters in St. Petersburg in the aftermath of Prigozhin's aborted revolt in June.
