Frozen in time | Goodwood '66 ‑ '96

In 1966 the Goodwood Motor circuit closed forever. Or at least, so it seemed. For the next 30 years the circuit was inactive in terms of racing and events, but while nothing major happened at Goodwood for those decades, it was a thriving hub of activity, with cars testing on the circuit, Sprints taking place, track days filling the air with noise and more.

Then, in the 1990s, the Duke of Richmond, then Lord March, founded the Festival of Speed, and began the build-up to the first ever Goodwood Revival. This is the story of how Goodwood was Frozen in Time for decades, before being brought to life for the first Revival.
