Here is my review for Season 1 and 2 of the Tiger King. Aka. Joe Exotic is a nut case and if you want to save tigers don’t support place like that you saw featured. Support real tiger conservation.
Here are the 6 subspecies of tigers we have left.
BENGAL- 3,000*
AMUR- 500*
SUMATRAN- 600*
MALAYAN- 140*
INDOCHINESE- 300*
SOUTH CHINA -thought to be extinct in the wild. The Amur Tiger does go into parts of China but it a separate subspecies.

All populations suffer from poaching, people population put pressure on park borders, and disease on tigers or their prey.
Now a days we see just how fast a zoonotic disease can spread globally.

So it takes money to keep thee cats around. It takes conservation groups to remain corruption free, and also well funded to buy camera traps, and to pay for vehicles and materials for their anti-poaching teams. .Together we can make sure that the tiger is respectfully around for generation after generation.
