Why I stopped chasing behaviors all day

Most parents are trying to fix behaviors all day long without realizing the entire structure of the day is what’s actually driving half the chaos.

In this video, I break down what the 3-Anchor Reset actually is, why predictable structure matters so much for ASD households, and why after-school decompression is still necessary — even for kids in ABA schools or supportive environments.

This is not about controlling your child or creating a “perfect” routine.

It’s about understanding that most hard moments are not random. They usually happen around predictable transition points:

* morning
* after school
* evening

That’s where anchors go.

I also talk about:

* why reacting all day keeps families stuck in survival mode
* why decompression is recovery, not lazy parenting
* how predictable routines lower emotional overload
* the mindset shift parents need before structure can actually work
* why we should focus on raising future adults, not just surviving today

The goal is not perfection.
The goal is steadiness.

Because structure changes the emotional pace of the home.
