Royal Albatross ~ TF Is On The Move! Leaves Nest To Garden & Almost Travels Out Of Cam View 🌿 5.1.24

TF is on the move this morning walking the furthest distance away from his nest to date! TF takes a few steps off his nest and sits down to garden for a short time. Then TF gets up and walks a few more steps and rests and pulls some grass around himself. TF continues to walk further away from the nest till only his behind is showing from the cam! Our cam operator sees TF and adjusts the view on him and his subsequent return to his nest. The total time he spent gardening and on the move was 21 minutes!

Sharyn did mention that some of the chicks are starting to walk up to 50m from their nest (that is 164 feet) which is quite a walk! TF is not close to walking that far yet but we know that he will continue to exercise his legs as he moves around Top Flat. TFT being a week younger has also left his nest and he will go further in the weeks ahead. Thank you for watching!
