What if the key to how to stop wasting our lives was changing our attitude towards waste? While recycling gives us a false promise of resilience, composting offers us the real thing: ways of sustainably transforming not just waste, but also our very existence. Lilyana Yankova is a French-Bulgarian alumna of The American University of Paris—class of 2010—with extensive experience in higher education. She holds a deep passion for sustainable design, with a focus on waste management and systemic approaches. Lilyana is currently enhancing her skills through an Advanced Master’s in Sustainable Innovation by Design and actively participates in circular economy practices and composting, constantly seeking innovative and motivational solutions to the urgent challenges of today and tomorrow.
