Daviess County Bourbon Tasting

How about we all hang out on a Friday night and taste the whole Daviess County bourbon line from Lux Row? That's what I thought! In this live tasting, we will be comparing Daviess County Straight Bourbon Whiskey (Blue), Daviess County Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in French Oak Casks (White), and Daviess County Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Cabernet Sauvignon Casks (Red). They are all bottled at 96 proof and use a unique batch to create virtually a four-grain mashbill or as Lux Row says, a "mixed mash bill" (high-rye bourbon batches and wheated bourbon batches blended together). These are said to be aged around 4 years with the barrel finished products seeing an additional 6 months of aging in either Cabernet Sauvignon or French oak casks.
