Cautionary Tales from the Jet Shop
Episode #1 Sent in by Scott in Illinois: At an air force base for the B-58 bomber, we have the story from 1964 of how one young aircraft maintainer, by being incompetent and complacent, created a J79 fuel nozzle mismatch disaster. And risked a nuclear disaster... no kidding.
This one is an actual Disaster, instead of the much preferred Near Miss.
we can all learn from this, eh?
If you have had an experience with either a close call or a disaster, please share it!
