Smashburger Parmigiana by Schueys BBQ
Smashburger parmigiana is a food fusion that really works. I love burgers, especially smashburgers, so adding the flavours of a chicken parmigiana into the mix is just an explosion of flavour in your mouth.
As with all my recipes I run through the selection, preparation, seasoning, BBQ set up, times and temps, so you can recreate this recipe at home.

Main Ingredients:
Chicken mince - 2 x 100 gram (3.5oz) balls per burger
Mozzarella cheese slices - 2 per burger
Pinch of salt for each burger pattie
Milk buns
1 teaspoon of parmesan cheese per burger
Passata Sauce Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
1 x small brown onion (finely diced)
400 grams of passata sauce
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
4 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 teaspoon of dried italian herbs
¼ teaspoon of chilli flakes
Kosher salt and black pepper (good pinch of both)

Cook to internal Temp : any chicken mince needs to be cooked to 74c (165f)
