The hare & the tortoise
A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for
being so slow.
The hare "Do you ever get anywhere?" he asked with
a mocking laugh.
The tortoise "Yes," replied the Tortoise, "and I get
there sooner than you think. I'll run you a race and prove
it."
The hare The Hare was much amused at the idea of
running a race with the Tortoise, but for the fun of the
thing he agreed.
So the Fox, who had consented to act as a judge,
marked the distance and started the runners off.
The Hare was soon far out of sight, and decided to
take a nap underneath a tree hoping he would wake up
before the Tortoise caught up with him
Meanwhile the Tortoise kept his eyes on the prize,
which was completing the race slowly but steadily, and,
after a while he was able to , pass the place where the
Hare was sleeping. But the Hare slept on very peacefully;
and when at last he did wake up, the Tortoise was near
the goal. The Hare now ran as quick as he could but
unfortunately, he couldn't overtake the Tortoise in time.
Fox Which led the fox to declare the tortoise the winner
the fox addressed the watching crowd stating
‘Slow and Steady wins the race’.
The race of life is not always won by the fastest’. This is to
serve as a reminder to us not to be proud. We should not
look down on others. Regardless of how good we may be.
On the other hand, it is important to have goals set and
do our best regardless of the obstacles to accomplish
