Are SBIR Proposals Public? What Gets Published (and What Doesn’t) #startupfunding

Worried about protecting your IP? In general, SBIR/STTR proposals are NOT public or searchable outside the government. If you win, your abstract (from the cover page/Volume 1) is published on sbir.gov—so write it assuming it will be public: avoid proprietary details and personal names.

TL;DR - Proposals stay private; abstracts don’t.
