Taken from MASSASAUGA's new EP "The Only Good Wizard is a Dead Wizard"

Inspired by the Witch Trials of the 17th century, "The Only Good Wizard is a Dead Wizard" tells a tale of mass hysteria, ritual sacrifice and ancient magic. A series of events transpiring to create a divide between man and mage.

The townsfolk become restless as the cultists take their blades to the altar, and present an offering during the witching hour. They sharpen their pitchforks and prepare to take the life of any wizard they can get their hands on. As tensions rise, the village goes quiet, the calm before the storm. As fear manifests, their judgement becomes clouded, for it is the unknown which frightens them most. As they take to the streets and spill blood, guilty or innocent no longer matters. The vicious mob takes their heads all the same. The high sorcerer watches the villagers through his pondering orb. Just like the ouroboros, mankind is destined to destroy itself.
