Disney's El Capitan Theatre 100th Anniversary Event - "The Rocketeer" with Director Joe Johnson

To kick off the El Capitan Theatre's 100th Anniversary celebration on June 1st, 2026, Disney presented the first film to premiere there under the Disney era, "The Rocketeer." Back on the big screen, the presentation included a conversation with director Joe Johnson, executive producer Larry Franco, and Production Designer Jim Bissell, moderated by Leonard Maltin. The Rocketeer costume and jet pack were on display, and the event also kicked off a new basement exhibit, showcasing the theater's rich history.
