This one hurt. I had to start from the pitlane after a qualifying penalty for impeding, even though I was also held up myself. Just before the lights went out, my wheel disconnected — full hardware failure. By the time I rebooted and reconfigured everything, I rejoined the race 2 laps down.
A lap 1 safety car gave me a sliver of hope, but I needed a second one to have any real shot at recovery. It never came. After spending the whole race playing catch-up, I brought it home P25 out of 30. One of those weeks where all you can do is feel the sting and move on. Just like real-world racing, mechanical gremlins can strike at the worst time.
On to the next round — let’s bounce back.
