The expensive horses are: Totilas, Shareef Dancer, The Green Monkey(*), Fusaichi Pegasus, Palloubet D’Halong. It seems like the American Thoroughbred is a popular breed in this top 5 list.

For the owners their expensive horse will probably get the award of the most handsome horse in the world. But what's your opinion about that?

The horses cost a lot of money, but did they actually turned out to be succesfull goldmines? There is nothing that mentions they are. We could only find facts that tell us the horses dropped in value.

Let me start with a nomination for the next most expensive horse. I think Uncle Mo might have a shot since he is a recordbreaking Thoroughbred racehorse. You will not be surprised about the fact that The Green Monkey and Shareef Dancer both are related in bloodlines. Those three horses all share the blood of Northern Dancer. So why not join them on the most expensive horses list?
