SkyWest Flight Benefits ✈️
Hi guys this video is about the flight benefits given while working for SkyWest. Since SkyWest is a regional company they use other airlines that they immediately work for as their primary benefits. For example, United Airlines has United benefits because they are their own airline. SkyWest is a contracted airline so they operate slightly different.
A few things that I forgot to mention in the video are that I strategically placed my sister on my Delta Benefits because your enrolled friend flys free domestically and pays taxes for overseas flights. This way we could fly for free as a family. On the American benefits, your enrolled friend pays 16.00 to fly somewhere once the enrollment fee of 75.00 is paid. On United benefits, your enrolled friend pays 35.00 per leg after enrollment fees are paid. I was the only person that flew for free on all carriers. My parents and sister flew free on Delta but paid on the others. My sister couldn’t fly on the others. My parents were also on my zed flight benefits which are flight benefits with foreign carriers. They also have cabin seat (Jumpseat) agreements with other US airlines and you can list on them but they aren’t considered primary benefits. As mentioned in the video as a flight attendant , I paid 50.00 for the year for my Delta benefits. For my United benefits it’s free to opt-in and 75.00 for American for the year. However all fees can be payroll deducted if you can’t afford to pay immediately.
When going to training, if you don’t live in a city that’s a hub of skywest then you have to pay for your own flight or drive to a hub and they will fly you for free from the hub to training. Coming back from training they fly you back into the hub your flew out of to get to training. Since the flight they booked for me was later in the day, I listed for an earlier flight. Once cleared for that flight, I canceled my positive space flight (confirmed seat) and non-rev home (flying space available) since I had a connecting flight to Memphis.
As of now I’m still not sure of how much the enrollment fee is for Alaska and how many enrolled friends you get. When I find out I’ll update this section. Thanks for watching guys! 💙💙
