One of my majors is Religious Studies so I enjoy studying and analyzing any relgious scripture. Just because I study a religion (and even practice some healthy techniques and attend services they may have) does not make me a follower or a believer of that religion. It just gives me better understanding of those practices and it helps me understand where people are coming from. Sometimes religion forms culture and other times culture motivates religion- so since I like to learn more about people I find that its necessary to know at least basic (accurate) facts of their religion usually by discussing directly with someone of that faith.
